I came up with an idea watching the game tonight. I think they should just do away with basketball altogether and organize posing, flexing and chest-pounding competitions. The Heat would still be a very good team. Taj Gibson would be the brightest young star, and Kevin Durant would be a playing legend.cardsfansince82 wrote:I'll never get tired of seeing Wade and Lebron combine on alley oops.

Kevin Durant sucks at hyping. He's so dorky and his arms are so skinny he looks weird when he flexes and yells.
Carlos Boozer would be the GOAT.

Whoops. I meant Kevin Garnett. Durant would be a nobody in these competitions.

Derrick Rose and Dirk Nowitski would be the two superstars who immediately became after thoughts in the league. Dirk does awkward German things and Derrick sneers like he walked into a bathroom after someone wrecked a Chinese buffet.

That was a hell of a game. Wade playing hero and heel within the space of like a minute and a half. His block on Chandler at the rim andthen his layup on the other end had all-time alpha dog highlight reel written all over it if not for the convenient fact that he missed the free throw to tie it and then they lost.lukethedrifter wrote:Did you guys notice that the Dirks won last night?

I wanted to second this. I laughed much harder than I needed to.ghostrunner wrote:This really cracked me up for some reason.thrill wrote:Dirk does awkward German things
Non-Finals chatter:
RealGM boards are aflutter with trade 'rumors' which are mostly just internet nerds like us making stuff up, as far as I can tell. Chicago, according to different posters, is guaranteed to win a championship if they successfully trade for one of the following (depending on which poster created the thread) : Dwight Howard, Andre Iguodala, Monta Ellis, Stephen Jackson, Rodney Stuckey (?!), OJ Mayo, JJ Redick, or Jamal Crawford.
While I don't enjoy a minute of Carlos Boozer being on the floor, I have a hard time believing they'd move him after just a year. I am thinking the Bulls make a FA signing or maybe a Korver/picks/expirings kind of trade. The draft and the upcoming CBA clustersmuck are going to make the off-season pretty interesting.

Is Simmons moving away from ESPN? Pretty notable cast he has put together at Grantland.
