Oh, I'll never deny that he's an asset to the team. I'm not suggesting that I want him gone. He just looks a little awkward and inefficient out there sometimes. Basically the opposite of Rose, who always manages to look smooth and comfortable, even when he isn't putting up great numbers.jim wrote:I've never seen passes go through a guys hands as much as Boozer. He's done it twice tonight. But 14 points and 12 boards early in the 4th ... I don't mind watching that.

Boozer needs to stop screaming like he got fouled every time he misses a shot. That is the worst.

Re: NBA 10-11
I've definitely soured on Boozer as the year has gone on, as have many Bulls fans. He misses so many rotations on defense. On offense, he has done alright if he has an open pick-and-pop, but he's been blocked so many times in the post, it's upsetting. Still, I thought he worked his ass off this game, as I had not seen him do in many games before. Hope he keeps it up in the playoffs.
Loved the tenacity on defense. Thibodeau deserved this one; he won through his brutal defensive schemes. Rose pissed me off with a good four bad three point attempts, but as he always does, he made up for it with a good 12 or so amazing drives into the paint that resulted in a bucket, a foul, or a kick-out to an open guy at the 3-point line. We're witnessing a truly blessed athlete and competitor. Just so damned special. I'm a total sports [expletive] that my favorite two teams have Pujols, the best baseball player in forty years, and Rose, one of the most electric, competitive NBA players I've ever really seen play the game.
At this point, I absolutely expect the Bulls to win the first round handily over the Pacers, then dispatch the Magic in a great, playoffs defense-beats-offense environment, leading up to an epic Eastern Conference Finals. Boston or Miami, I expect a great series. Then, bring on the West. Lakers would be the favorites over my Bulls, but I think the West is pretty open to serious upsets. Lots of awesome teams over there.

I'm looking forward to part two (teams 16 through 1) of Bill Simmons' NBA power poll that he said he'll be putting up today. He was definitely waiting for this game.
Unless he committed suicide last night, with the Celtics losing a very important game, and his 0-6 Red Sox stumbling around. Come to think of it, I hope he's ok!

Anyone else see that girl give the camera the finger? Brief silence, then Stacey King laughed and asked Funk "did you see that? that girl just flipped someone off".
I love Stacey.

His NBA piece is great: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/st ... ortCat=nba
He has the Lakers number one, as he absolutely should.

I enjoyed this:
9. Denver Nuggets
Four MAJOR karmic forces in their favor: George Karl's inspiring recovery (and "inspiring" is an understatement); the Ewing Theory (can never be discounted); a fan base that handled the Melo-Drama before/during/after with as much class/enthusiasm/devotion as you could ever expect (seriously, nobody came out of the Melo saga better than Denver fans); and Danilo Gallinari's defeating post-coital depression after spending the past three years hooking up with every hot model and actress in Manhattan.

Re: NBA 10-11
Daaaaaaaamn Ty Lawson goes for 37/7/6 on 10-11 from 3s?! +32 on +/-. Jeeeeeeez! What a bad ass stat line.
JR Smith took 16 shots, only 3 2-pointers! Man. I wish this game had been on TV for me.
How did Lawson and Felton both have so many minutes? When they're both on the court, who brings the ball up, and who guards the 2? Felton had 14 assists, I assume he was the guy moving the ball the most?
Calling all Socnorbs!

This years WTF:

I wish the jackassosity of Artest preceding this was presented here. While an alarming number of Blazers fans wouldn't trade Nic Batum for Derrick Rose right now, we're a supportive bunch and a good crowd.
