Hilariously, I will be at Pointfest next weekend, enjoying the melodies of 311, The Urge, the Toadies, and Alien Ant Farm.

The dream of the 90s is alive at Riverport Amphitheater. See y'all there. Buy me a beer.

I’ll be there as well. I couldn’t deny myself the chance to rekindle some of the sounds of my early years.

Weird, I swore I sent you a PM Zeus, but I just checked and nothing seems to have been sent to you.

Not that it would have mattered, we got to the venue pretty late to catch some of the Toadies, Urge, and 311, but we ran into some chick on a power trip regarding bags. Both bags looked to be under and inch too big and she denied entry to get into the venue so we just bailed on the whole thing.

I'm sorry I didn't send you a PM. My phone wasn't working very well and was pretty low battery (because my mom's house lost power for 30 hours) so I was trying to stay off of it.

Wait, did you not get in at all? That's insane.

Btw you missed Alien Ant Farm introducing their cover of Smooth Criminal by playing a four minute long recording of Michael Jackson talking about how he likes their cover of his song. On the one hand, hilarious. On the other, if MJ ever spoke at length about how much he liked something I did, I would also play that recording for crowds of people.

Oh, no problem…I completely understand. Crazy weather weekend and being w/o power for 30 hours throws a wrench in things.

Well, not going in at all was more of our decision than the bag nazi. Since we got there late we parked at the back of the lot, and we just decided to bail since we were only planning to be there for a short time and didn’t want to get stuck in the bottleneck of traffic leaving. Aka, we’re old…lol!

Weirdly, it only took us like 5 minutes to get out of the parking lot. Maybe a lot of my hoosier brethren left after The Urge.

That was my first time seeing the Urge since I was a teenager at Mississippi Nights. They still sound great and bring the energy. They didn't play Spyz though. BOOOOOO.
